Guest privacy notice
You have been invited to a wedding. Here is what happens to your information when you open the invitation or reply to it, in plain words.
1.Who this is for
- 1.1You have been sent a wedding invitation made by Suvarna Invites. This notice explains, in a few minutes of reading, what happens to your information when you open it or reply.
- 1.2The invitation belongs to the family who invited you. We make it and keep it running for them.
2.When you open the invitation
- 2.1You do not need an account, an app or any personal details to open it.
- 2.2As with any website, the services that deliver it record technical details such as your IP address, device and browser, to keep it working and secure. These are not used to identify you.
- 2.3Pictures, music, fonts and maps inside the invitation may load from other providers, such as map and hosting services, who receive the same technical details.
- 2.4If the family has chosen to see where their invitation has been opened, they see only an approximate city, such as "Opened in Pune". They do not see your name, exact location or device.
3.If the invitation greets you by name
- 3.1The family gave us your name, and sometimes a short message for you, so that your invitation could greet you personally.
- 3.2Your name is part of the link you were sent. Anyone you forward the link to will see it, so please share it with care.
- 3.3We were not given your phone number, address or email address, and we do not contact you.
4.If you reply through the RSVP form
- 4.1What you enter, such as your name, which functions you will attend, how many people are coming and any message, is passed to the family who invited you.
- 4.2We keep your reply only so that the family can see it, and for no other purpose.
- 4.3We never use it for marketing, never sell it and never share it with anyone else.
5.How long it is kept
- 5.1The invitation, the names in it and every RSVP reply are deleted within 60 days after the invitation is taken down. Invitations usually stay live for 3 months after the wedding.
6.Your choices
- 6.1You can change or withdraw your RSVP by contacting the family, or by asking us.
- 6.2To have your name or reply removed, write to suvarnainvites@gmail.com with the couple's names. We act on it within 30 days, and we will let the family know it has been removed.
- 6.3For questions about how the family will use your reply, please ask them directly.
7.More detail
- 7.1Our full privacy policy covers everything we do with personal information, including for the families who order invitations from us.
