Privacy policy
This explains what personal information we handle, why, and for how long, whether you are browsing, ordering an invitation, or opening one as a guest.
1.Who we are
- 1.1Suvarna Invites ("we", "us") makes wedding invitation websites. For anything about your personal information, write to suvarnainvites@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 63544 70563.
- 1.2This policy covers two things: this website, where you browse designs and send enquiries, and the invitations we make for our customers and their guests.
2.When you browse this website
- 2.1The names and language you choose on this website are saved in your own browser so that they follow you from page to page. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can remove them by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- 2.2We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build a profile of you.
- 2.3When you use "Send this to the family", the two names and the language are placed in the link you share, so the person who opens it sees the same thing. Anyone who has that link can see those names.
- 2.4Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider, which records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the service running and secure.
- 2.5When you play a live preview, its pictures, music, fonts and maps load from other providers, who receive the same kind of technical details.
3.When you send an enquiry
- 3.1The enquiry form writes your message and opens WhatsApp for you to send it. Nothing is sent to us until you press send in WhatsApp.
- 3.2We then receive what you wrote, which includes the couple's names, the design you like, your name, the wedding date if you gave one, and your WhatsApp number.
- 3.3We use this to reply, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, make your invitation. We do not add you to a marketing list.
- 3.4Messages sent through WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
4.When you order an invitation
- 4.1To make your invitation we collect the content you give us: names of the couple and family members, wording, dates, venues, photographs, videos, voice recordings, music choices and contact numbers you want shown.
- 4.2We keep a record of your order and payments, as the law requires for accounts and tax. We do not see or store your card or bank login details. Payments are handled by your bank or payment provider.
- 4.3If your content includes other people, such as family members in photographs or a child's voice recording, please make sure they, or a parent or guardian, are happy for it to be used.
5.Guest lists and personalised links
- 5.1If you want each guest to be greeted by name, you send us a list, usually an Excel sheet, with the guest or family names and any personal message for each.
- 5.2We use the list only to create the personalised links and return it to you with a link beside each name. We do not contact your guests and we do not use their details for anything else.
- 5.3A personalised link contains the guest's name so the invitation can greet them. Anyone the link is forwarded to will see that name and message.
- 5.4Please send only what is needed. Names and messages are enough. We do not need your guests' phone numbers, addresses or email addresses.
- 5.5You are responsible for having the right to share your guests' names with us for this purpose.
6.If you are a guest opening an invitation
- 6.1Opening an invitation does not require an account or any personal details. A shorter guest privacy notice is also published on this website for guests.
- 6.2If you reply through the RSVP form, the details you enter, such as your name, the functions you will attend, the number of people and any message, are passed to the family who invited you. We hold them only to deliver them and keep the feature working.
- 6.3If an invitation shows the family where it has been opened, only the approximate city is shown, worked out from the visit's IP address. It is not linked to your name.
- 6.4For questions about how the family uses your reply, please contact them. To ask us to remove a reply, write to us with the couple's names.
7.How we use information
- 7.1We use personal information only to answer enquiries, make and host invitations, deliver RSVP replies, take payment, keep our records, and keep the website and invitations secure.
- 7.2We rely on your consent, given when you send us the information, and on what is necessary to carry out your order.
- 7.3We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- 7.4We do not show a customer's invitation, names or photographs publicly unless the customer has agreed in writing.
9.How long we keep it
- 9.1Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted within 12 months.
- 9.2Your invitation content, guest list and RSVP replies are deleted within 60 days after your link is taken down, or sooner if you ask.
- 9.3Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- 9.4Copies in routine backups are overwritten in the normal course and are not used for anything else in the meantime.
10.Keeping it safe
- 10.1Invitations are served over an encrypted connection and are not listed for search engines.
- 10.2Access to customer content is limited to the people who work on the invitation.
- 10.3An invitation link is not secret. Anyone who has it can open it, so please share it only with the people you intend to invite.
- 10.4No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11.Your choices and rights
- 11.1You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent, though we may then be unable to complete your order.
- 11.2Write to suvarnainvites@gmail.com with enough detail for us to find your records. We reply within 48 hours and act on valid requests within 30 days.
- 11.3If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in India.
12.Children
- 12.1Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly take orders from anyone under 18.
- 12.2Children may appear in an invitation, for example in family photographs or a recorded welcome. This is included only at the request of the family, who confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed.
13.Changes to this policy
- 13.1We will update this policy when what we do changes, for example if we add visitor statistics or a new way to contact us. The date at the top shows the latest version.
14.Contact
- 14.1Questions, requests and complaints about personal information can be sent to suvarnainvites@gmail.com or to WhatsApp +91 63544 70563.
